Minut Integration for Vacation Rental Noise Monitoring
Minut monitors noise levels, occupancy, and environmental conditions in your rental properties.
Boring Host connects to Minut so that when an alert fires, the AI can message your guest and notify your team before a small issue becomes a neighbor complaint.
Handling Noise Alerts at 2 AM
A noise threshold gets breached at your downtown apartment on a Saturday night. Without Boring Host, you get a Minut alert on your phone, wake up, compose a message to the guest, and hope they see it. By the time you respond, the neighbor has already called.
With Boring Host connected to Minut, the guest gets a polite noise reminder within minutes of the alert. If the noise continues, your team gets notified with the full context. You configure the tone: friendly reminder for a first alert, firmer policy reference for repeated violations.
Party Prevention Before It Escalates
Minut’s occupancy alerts can flag situations where more people are in the property than the reservation allows. Boring Host uses this as a trigger to send a message reminding the guest of your occupancy policy. Most situations resolve with a single message before they become a problem.
For properties in HOA-governed communities or noise-sensitive neighborhoods, this kind of early intervention is the difference between a resolved incident and a formal complaint.
Getting Connected
Link your Minut account to Boring Host. The system receives noise, occupancy, and smoke alerts from Minut.
You set the rules for when and how the AI responds: quiet hours vs. daytime, first alert vs. repeated, guest message vs. team notification. Minut’s own app notifications continue working alongside Boring Host.
Built to give property managers their time back.

Here’s what our property managers needed to know before signing up
What types of Minut alerts does Boring Host respond to?
Boring Host can act on noise alerts, occupancy alerts, and smoke-related alerts from Minut. When an alert fires, the AI can message the guest, notify your team, or both, depending on your workflow settings.
Can Boring Host send a warning message to guests automatically when noise is detected?
Yes. You can set up a workflow where Boring Host sends the guest a polite noise reminder as soon as Minut detects a threshold breach. If the noise continues, it escalates to your team for manual follow-up.
Does Boring Host replace Minut's own notification system?
No. Minut’s app notifications still work as normal. Boring Host adds a guest-facing communication layer on top, so when Minut detects an issue, the guest hears from you quickly instead of just your team getting an alert.
How does Boring Host handle noise alerts during quiet hours vs. daytime?
You configure the response rules. For quiet hours (typically 10pm-8am), Boring Host can send an immediate guest message. During daytime, you might prefer to just notify your team without messaging the guest. Both options are available.
Can I customize the noise warning messages Boring Host sends?
Yes. You control the tone and content of noise-related messages. Some hosts prefer a friendly reminder, others want a firmer policy reference. You set the messaging style and Boring Host follows it.
