Boring Host AI Ltd, 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. Questions about anything on this page: contact@boringhost.ai.
1. Scope
These API Terms govern access to boring host's application programming interfaces and developer tools (the "API"), and apply in addition to the Terms & Conditions. By requesting or using API credentials you agree to them.
2. Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited licence to access the API to build and operate integrations for your own workspace or, with our written approval, for customers you serve. We retain all rights in the API and the platform. Use of the boring host name and marks in your integration requires prior written approval.
3. API keys and security
Keep credentials confidential and secure, and use separate keys per environment. You are responsible for calls made with your keys. We may revoke credentials immediately if we believe they are compromised or being misused, and otherwise on 48 hours' notice.
4. Rate limits
The API is subject to published rate limits to keep the platform stable and fair. Do not circumvent limits, including by spreading traffic across accounts or keys. We give 30 days' notice of material rate limit changes.
5. Data handling
If you receive personal data through the API you must: maintain a lawful basis and a published privacy policy; use the data only for the integration the user enabled; protect it with encryption in transit; delete personal data within 12 months of its last legitimate use, or sooner on request; and notify us within 48 hours at contact@boringhost.ai of any breach affecting platform data.
6. Acceptable use
You must not reverse engineer the platform; probe or breach security; harvest data beyond your authorisation; use the API to build or improve a competing product; resell raw API access; or use it in a way that degrades the service for others.
7. Availability and support
The API is provided "as is", without an uptime guarantee. We publish maintenance and incident notices, and we support the current stable API version.
8. Versions and deprecation
We support each stable API version for at least 12 months from release of its successor, and give at least 90 days' written notice before retiring an endpoint or version, except where a change is needed urgently for security or legal reasons.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate API access on notice. You have 30 days after termination to export data you are entitled to, and must then delete personal data obtained through the API within 15 days, except where the law requires retention.
10. Liability
The liability framework in the Terms & Conditions applies to API use, with total aggregate liability for free API access capped at £100 where no fees have been paid.
