1. How to request deletion
Email contact@boringhost.ai with the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:
- the email address associated with your data (if applicable);
- your workspace or company name (if applicable);
- whether the request concerns a Meta/WhatsApp or Facebook connection, a boring host account, or both.
2. What we delete
After verifying the request, we delete or anonymise the personal data we control, including:
- account and profile information, preferences, and device records;
- Meta, WhatsApp, and Facebook user identifiers linked to boring host;
- access tokens and connection records, where applicable.
3. Guest data held for a property manager
If your data was processed because you were a guest, owner, or contact of a property manager that uses boring host, that business is the controller of the data. We will forward your request to them and assist, or you can contact them directly, workspace-level records such as message history and audit logs are under their control.
4. Timelines
We acknowledge verified requests promptly and complete deletion within 90 days, usually much sooner. Residual copies in encrypted backups are not actively used and age out of the backup cycle.
5. What we may retain
We may keep limited information where the law requires or permits it (for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes) and we may keep anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies anyone.
6. Disconnecting via Meta
You can also remove boring host's access from Meta directly: in Facebook, go to Settings → Apps and Websites → remove boring host, and choose data deletion if prompted. WhatsApp connections can be removed by the workspace admin in the platform's channel settings.
